RingCentral: Calls Not Coming Through?
With RingCentral, faculty and staff can customize their incoming call flows. Some flows, however, can be confusing. For example, we have received several tickets from users stating that people are going straight to voicemail. We investigated and found that the user had enabled the "Greet caller with a message" feature in the incoming call flow, using either the default or a custom-recorded message. When someone calls you and receives this message, they often assume it is voicemail and hang up rather than listening or waiting to ring through to you. Because of this, we do not recommend enabling the "Greet caller with a message" feature on your incoming calls. For more information on customizing your incoming calls, refer to this support article.
Protect Your University Account: Stay Vigilant with Duo Pushes
If you receive an unexpected Duo push notification, it could mean someone else has your password and is attempting to access your university account without your knowledge.
Duo was implemented to ensure that only you can access your account, but this protection is only effective if you verify every push request before approving it. Accepting a fraudulent push can compromise your security. Stay alert and always confirm the source of Duo notifications.
